Het ontstaan van RTV-RSO

Wij zijn dé regionale senioren omroep van Groningen en omstreken voor de 50-plusser van nú. Voor hen maken we met een enthousiast team van vrijwilligers radio, tv, podcasts en RTV-livestreams. In de afgelopen jaren heeft RTV-RSO zich ontwikkeld tot een mediastudio waarin vele professionele technieken worden toegepast. Dat is ook nodig want wij willen onze kijkers en luisteraars programma's bieden van goede kwaliteit. Een drietal RSO-radioprogramma's en ons maandelijkse tv-programma wordt uitgezonden via OOG (Omroep Organisatie Groningen). Maar via onze eigen kanalen is er méér: meer radioprogramma's, podcasts, en het terugkijken van ons tv-programma Studio RSO. RSO radio is er zelfs 24 uur per dag, 7 dagen per week! RTV-RSO begint in 1983 als de vereniging RGG (Radio Groep Groningen). In 1999 maakte RSO (de Regionale Senioren Omroep) een nieuwe start om als stichting verder te gaan. Tegenwoordig biedt RTV-RSO een breed scala aan.

RSO Radio is er 24 uur per dag, 7 dagen per week. Via RSO Radio is een breed aanbod te horen van muziek en programma’s die aansluiten bij onze doelgroep. Een drietal radioprogramma’s worden uitgezonden door OOG (de Omroep Organisatie Groningen), die zijn: In de Schijnwerper, De Platenkast en Anno 1900. Maar via onze livestream hoor je nog meer!

Al onze radioprogramma’s zijn ook als podcast te beluisteren. Laat je verrassen door onze radioshows als Plankenkoorts, Triple D en BonBini.

Studio RSO is er maandelijks. Dit programma wordt uitgezonden via OOG TV, maar kan ook via onze website en YouTube-kanaal worden bekeken.

Ernesto
Arrendell

Mijn naam is Ernesto Arrendell en mijn roots liggen op Aruba. Sinds 2001 ben ik als vrijwilliger verbonden aan de RSO. Aanvankelijk ben ik gestart bij de RSO-radio en deed ik tijdens opnames de techniek. Later ben ik bij de TV groep gekomen. Hier doe ik ofwel het audio-technische deel danwel maak ik met mijn collega’s video-opnames. Het leuke is dat ik zo met allerlei mensen in contact kom. En ik hoor de nieuwtjes vanuit de eerste hand tijdens de opnames. Ik doe dit vrijwilligerswerk naast mijn eigen werk, ik ben namelijk percussionist en maak klankverhalen voor op scholen en in theaters. Muziek maken is mijn lust en mijn leven.

Boneschansker

Mijn naam is Manon Boneschansker en ben sinds 1996 al als vrijwilliger betrokken bij de Regionale Senioren Omroep. Ik doe van alles.. van redactiewerk, floormanager, editing tot presenteren en camerawerk. Ik verzorg ook de contacten met de diverse sponsoren en ben verantwoordelijk voor alle social media. Sinds juli 2021 ben ik voorzitter van RTV RSO.

Steve
DeWar

Steve DeWar is een Schotse muzikant uit Edinburgh en woont nu in Drenthe. Hij treedt op als gitarist en zanger in verschillende folk- en rockbands. Toen hij 11 jaar was is zijn passie en liefde voor muziek opgewekt. Steve hoorde toen bands zoals Deep Purple en Led Zeppelin. Vlak daarna kwamen de muziekstijlen Punk en New Wave op. Steve vond dit prachtig en begon zijn eigen muziek te maken. Sinds zijn elfde had Steve de droom om te kunnen werken bij de radio, net zoals zijn vader deed. Deze droom is sinds kort werkelijkheid geworden.

Ekens

Ik mag graag met mensen omgaan. Niet voor niets heb ik na het onderwijs gekozen voor de zorg. De kinderen zijn groot, de vaste baan verleden tijd, dus nu is het tijd voor vrijwilligerswerk. Bij de RSO presenteer ik het programma Plankenkoorts en ben een van de vaste presentatoren van het programma Anno 1900.

Als groot liefhebber van techniek, muziek, films en voetbal wachtte mij na mijn pensionering een nieuwe uitdaging bij de RSO als lid van de tv- en radiocrew. Dit werk doe ik, samen met mijn collega-vrijwilligers met veel enthousiasme.

Sinds mijn 15e ben ik al met radio bezig. Eerst MINJON (AVRO) daarna Radio Veronica en nu bij de Regionale Senioren Omroep. Hier hou ik me bezig met Anno 1900 op de radio en maak reportages voor Studio RSO. Een mooie hobby met een fijn team.

In 1996 ging ik een cursus Presentatie en Techniek volgen bij de Radiogroep Groningen. Daarna heb ik me bezig gehouden met het verzorgen van radio-uitzendingen naar verpleeg- en ouderencentra in Groningen en Haren. Toen de Stichting Regionale Senioren Omroep ontstond, werd er een nieuw bestuur gevormd met mij als voorzitter. Sinds juli 2021 ben ik penningmeester.

van IJken

Sinds december 2023 ben ik medepresentator van het programma In de Schijnwerper. Mijn naam is Afiena van IJken van Zanten. Regelmatig ben ik op de zondag om 11.00 uur te horen bij RSO, waar ik samen met Manon interessante thema’s in de popmuziek geschiedenis bespreek. Mijn persoonlijke muzieksmaak is heel veelzijdig: van Bach tot Beatles en van Queen tot Lady Gaga. En op zijn tijd wat nineties hiphop.

Doordat mijn echtgenoot Ernesto Arrendell actief is bij de RSO kwam ik met allemaal leuke mensen daar in contact. Toen RSO ging starten met digitale radio en ze nog mensen zochten om een programma te maken was ik meteen enthousiast. Samen met Ernesto maak ik dan ook wekelijks het programma BonBini.

Koster

Ik ben Oeds Jan Koster en mijn passie voor radio begon in mijn jeugd toen ik eind jaren ’50 veel naar AFN Bremerhavn luisterde. Toen ik in 2005 met vroegpensioen kon en de advertentie van RSO zag waarin vrijwilligers werden gezocht, was ik meteen verkocht. Twee weken na de eerste kennismaking zat ik achter de microfoon bij het programma ‘Windows Open Voor Senioren’. Momenteel presenteer ik met een 5-tal collega’s afwisselend ‘Anno 1900’ en wekelijks een aflevering van mijn serie ‘De B-kant’. Al 20 jaar werk ik met zeer veel plezier bij RSO Radio en ik hoop dat u net zo veel plezier heeft bij het luisteren!

Ik ben Theo Laan, geboren in 1969 te Groningen. In het dagelijkse leven gewoon een drukke baan als bedrijfsadviseur, maar in mijn vrije tijd werk ik met plezier mee aan de programma’s van RSO Radio. Ik kom uit een muzikale familie en het entertainen zit mij een beetje in het bloed. Vanuit mijn huidige functie organiseer ik diverse evenementen, interview ik ondernemers en verzorg af en toe presentaties. RSO Radio is voor mij dan ook een mooie vrijetijdsbesteding waarbij ik de doelgroep 50+ hoop te bereiken. Ik doe het met plezier en… hoop dat u luistert!

Jaren geleden was ik al zeer geïnteresseerd in radio én radio maken. Toen las ik een advertentie van de RSO waarbij ze personeel zochten, ik reageerde, kwam langs en sindsdien zit ik bij de club. Ik doe de techniek van het programma In de Schijnwerper en maak samen met Regina van der Werf het programma De Platenkast en doe dat met veel plezier. Ook eigen inbreng, zoals het zelf uitzoeken van de muziek, bevalt mij zeer. In het dagelijks leven ben ik veel thuis waardoor er veel tijd is voor mijn hobby’s en interesses. Namelijk geschiedenis en muziek of een combinatie ervan.
